OSWESTRY OLYMPIANS ATHLETIC AND TRIATHLON CLUB

WELFARE AND SAFEGUARDING POLICY STATEMENT

Oswestry Olympians is committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all.  The club believes that it is important that Club Officers and Committee members should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of club members and a commitment to the club. Therefore, Club Officers and Committee members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with other members of the committee.

Oswestry Olympians is affiliated to England Athletics, Welsh Athletics and the British Triathlon Federation. The club endorses and seeks to follow UKA and BTF Welfare and Safeguarding policies and procedures outlined in the following documents.

The club has designated Welfare and Safeguarding Officers, to whom any concerns/questions can be raised in the first instance

Individual club members, parents and helpers are encouraged to read the codes of conduct that apply to them. All members agree to abide by the Club Constitution and Codes of Conduct when they join the club and each year when subscriptions are renewed. A link to the relevant page of the Club website where the Constitution and Codes of Conduct can be found is in the email all members receive on joining or renewing. Members can also log into their profile on the myathletics portal  (using their URN) and read the codes of conduct relevant to them there.
